HOGZILLA HZL SERIES HORIZONTAL GRINDER

HogZilla’s HZL Series Grinders are designed to put CW Mill Equipment’s long and successful experience in industrial grinders to work building the industry’s best horizontal wood grinder.

The New HZL Series Grinders are built with same commitment to reliable performance that HogZilla has provided with its tub grinders for decades. By providing similar features including over-sized components, solid construction, and production oriented design, the HZL Series lives up to HogZilla’s Monster Grinder reputation.

The HZL Series can be configured in stationary, portable, or track mounted arrangements with engine choices ranging from 400hp to 1,000hp. The HZL can be equipped with a variety of different mill drive systems including Wet Clutch, Hydraulic Coupling, or Torque Converter. The HZL Series also provides several choices in hammer mills, feeder sizes, and styles allowing the grinder to be custom built for the end user.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE MANY “HZL” OPTIONS
  • Choice of grinder configurations including stationary, pintle hitch portable, fifth wheel hitch portable, and track mounted.
  • Choice of suspensions on portable units including super-single triple axle, dual tire triple axle, and 16-tire tandems for the West Coast.
  • Choice of 400-1,000hp Cat, Cummins, or John Deere Engines
  • Choice of Mill Drives including Wet Clutch, Hydraulic Coupling, or Torque Converter
  • Choice of Hammer Mill Configurations including HogZilla’s own “Super-Colossal Mill”
  • Choice of feeder system including drag chain, rubber belt, and metal-pan belt.
  • Feed Choices: 44" Single Feed Wheel or Dual Feed Rollers (Patent Pending).
  • Remote Control
  • Auxiliary service hydraulics
  • Compressed air system with maintenance support kit
  • Hot Vulcanized Continuous Conveyor and Elevator Belts
  • Radial Stacking Elevator
  • Legal shipping width on units up to 600hp & under 12' shipping width on units over 600hp
  • Total machine weights ranging from approx. 95,000 lbs. to 116,000 lbs.
